About the Event
The Kids Table is an arts-based workshop for young people ages 7-18 who identify as Asian, South Asian, and/or Pacific Islander and lives or attends school in the Evanston area. Kids have the opportunity to make art, hang out with friends and meet new ones in an inclusive, creative, judgement-free, ASAPIA empowerment space. Each workshop will feature an art activity but participants are also able to engage in non-structured art making and explore the many different art materials in Studio 3!
Our February, March and April workshop activities will be exploring and making lanterns from different cultures. Participants will have the opportunity to make lanterns that will be displayed at this year's Umbrella Arts Festival and make lanterns to take home!
Kids Create Change strives to provide free programming in an effort to make the arts available to all young people. There is no charge for this workshop but we do accept donations to help us continue this mission. If you are able to contribute, $10 covers the cost for art materials for one participant and $25 includes materials and artist fees. Any amount is much appreciated!
